SoilWater is a soil-science and land-intelligence company. We measure the ground, model it, improve it, and prove it — bringing science, technology and entrepreneurship together around healthier soils, across the UK and Canada.

The work spans three parts: expert soil and hydrology consulting, the QSoil modelling platform, and TerraScape, a family of biological and biodegradable soil amendments.

Founder & CEO

Serial environmental entrepreneur who founded SoilWater after identifying the critical gap in precision soil intelligence. Background spans advanced materials, circular economy frameworks and agri-tech. Led the company to a UKRI grant and Agri-TechE recognition. Drives commercial expansion across the UK and Canada, and advocates for soil testing as a core land-valuation metric.

Ron Bakker

Co-founder & CTO

Creative technologist and founder of Mindlight (est. 2010). Brings 20+ years spanning low-level development, multimedia systems, embedded, AI and platform architecture — with prior roles at PA Consulting, Phenix Real Time Solutions and Seluxit. Leads SoilWater’s technical architecture, including QSoil, Smart Modelling and the QDOM platform.

Raymond Rubin

Global Partnerships

Board-level executive and global partnership specialist with extensive senior leadership experience across industry, environment and corporate development. Brings strategic networks spanning international markets to SoilWater’s partnership programme — including its Canadian market entry, government relations, and UNDP and voluntary-carbon-market stakeholders.
